Cabless, our iconic portable lamp, has claimed victory at the prestigious KI-Life Sustainable Award 2025, a recognition celebrating excellence in sustainability.
Crafted from certified materials and fully modular, Cabless sets a new benchmark in lighting by blending sleek design, cutting-edge technology, and profound environmental respect.
An Award Honoring Responsible Design
Hosted by Kiki Lab in partnership with the MILANO HOME Exhibition, the KI-Life Sustainable Award now in its fourth edition—celebrates projects and products that embody the principles of sustainable development, social responsibility, and environmental care. Among 27 finalists, the jury, chaired by Fabrizio Valente (founder and director of Kiki Lab), selected Cabless as the overall winner, praising it as a seamless union of craftsmanship, technological innovation, and responsible design.

Where Traditional Craftsmanship Meets Modern Technology
Cabless is more than just a portable lamp; it’s a sustainability statement, uniting outstanding Italian craftsmanship with responsible technological innovation.
Made from FSC-certified alder wood sourced from the Imagna Valley, Cabless tells a story of environmental stewardship. The wood is harvested from stumps, avoiding the need to fell trees—a deliberate choice reflecting a commitment to conserving natural resources.
Its fully modular design allows every component to be replaced or repaired, embracing the "right to repair" philosophy. This approach combats planned obsolescence while promoting ethical consumption. Additionally, the exclusion of a USB-C cable from the packaging aligns with European Union guidelines to reduce electronic waste and encourage the reuse of existing cables.

Cabless pairs its sustainable design with a rechargeable battery and a replaceable LED bulb, further enhancing its durability and environmental benefits. Entirely made in Italy, the lamp combines eco-consciousness, social responsibility, and a dedication to local craftsmanship.
